1. Who we are
ParkShare is a New Zealand parking marketplace that lets drivers find and book private parking spaces, and lets hosts list suitable unused driveways, garages, carports, or parking bays.
ParkShare Limited owns the ParkShare app, website, brand, platform, and related intellectual property. ParkShare Operations Limited is intended to run the day-to-day ParkShare service.
2. Acceptance of these terms
By accessing or using ParkShare, creating an account, joining the waitlist, submitting host details, listing a space, making a booking, sending messages, or using any ParkShare feature, you agree to these Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy.
3. ParkShare’s role
ParkShare provides a platform that helps hosts and drivers connect for parking bookings. Hosts are responsible for the parking spaces they list, including accuracy, access, availability, safety, and permission to offer the space. Drivers are responsible for using booked spaces properly and following listing instructions.
ParkShare may help with payments, booking records, messaging, support, refunds, reviews, and disputes, but ParkShare does not own, control, or physically manage every listed parking space.
4. Accounts and verification
You must provide accurate information when signing up, joining the waitlist, applying to host, or using ParkShare. ParkShare may require email verification, phone verification, host checks, listing checks, or other steps before allowing certain actions. ParkShare may refuse, suspend, or remove accounts or listings where information is inaccurate, unsafe, misleading, or misused.
5. Host responsibilities
Hosts must only list spaces they have the right to offer. Hosts must provide accurate details about the location, space type, access, availability, restrictions, size, pricing, instructions, and any safety or access issues. Hosts must not list spaces where doing so would breach tenancy rules, body corporate rules, council requirements, private agreements, or any other obligations that apply to them.
6. Driver responsibilities
Drivers must park only in the booked space, follow listing and host instructions, respect the property, avoid blocking access, leave on time, and not use the space for unlawful, unsafe, or unauthorised purposes. Drivers are responsible for their vehicle and belongings unless the law says otherwise.
7. Bookings and parking options
ParkShare may support different parking options, including hourly, daily, and weekly parking options where available. A booking is only confirmed when the platform shows it as confirmed. Availability, prices, access rules, and listing details may vary by host and location.
8. Payments, fees, cancellations, and refunds
Payments are processed through Stripe. ParkShare may charge service fees, host fees, or other platform fees shown before or during booking. Cancellation and refund handling may depend on the booking status, timing, host conduct, driver conduct, payment processor rules, and the specific issue involved. ParkShare may update fee, cancellation, and refund rules as the service develops.
9. Messaging and user conduct
Users must not harass, threaten, abuse, spam, mislead, discriminate, or attempt to bypass ParkShare payments or booking systems. Messages may be used for booking support, safety, dispute handling, and platform protection.
10. Safety, access, and disputes
If a space is unavailable, unsafe, inaccessible, incorrectly described, or misused, users should contact ParkShare as soon as possible at parkshare.co@gmail.com. ParkShare may review booking records, messages, listing details, payment records, and other information to help decide what action is appropriate.
11. Intellectual property
The ParkShare name, branding, website, app, platform design, content, and related intellectual property are owned by ParkShare Limited or licensed to ParkShare. Users must not copy, reproduce, scrape, misuse, or reverse engineer ParkShare content or systems except as allowed by law.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by New Zealand law, ParkShare is not responsible for losses caused by inaccurate host listings, user conduct, vehicle damage, property damage, theft, fines, towing, access issues, third-party services, or events outside ParkShare’s reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot legally be excluded.
13. Changes to these terms
ParkShare may update these Terms of Service as the product, launch, fees, verification, booking, or legal requirements change. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new last updated date.
